Low Back & Hips: Sweet Release (Online Programme)

Lower back and hip tightness rarely happen in isolation. Imbalance or restriction in your hips often puts extra strain on your lower back, while lower back stiffness can easily cause your hips to lock up in response.

This in-depth video course starts addressing the root causes of lower body tension, giving you a structured, step-by-step way to free up your hips, restore joint mobility, and take the strain off your lower spine.

Beyond just exercises, this course teaches you how your body works. You’ll learn targeted self-massage, stretching, and mobility techniques alongside the education you need to understand your own body, manage tension, and keep moving comfortably for life.

What you will achieve:
Relieve low back & hip tension: Target deep muscle tightness across your lower back, glutes, hips, legs, waist, and core.
→ Restore hip & joint mobility: Improve your overall range of motion so bending, squatting, and walking feel smooth and fluid.
Improve pelvic alignment: Rebalance your hips and pelvis to take constant, uneven pressure off your lower spine.
Move freely again: Ease daily stiffness and discomfort, prevent painful flare-ups, and enjoy moving without constant ache.
Get back to the things you love: Stop letting your lower back and hips hold you back from daily life.

This approach is already helping people move better
Low Back & Hips: Sweet Release brings the corrective movement framework I use with 1:1 clients into a self-paced video course – so you get the exact release foundation I use to restore mobility and help clients move pain-free, without needing to meet in person.

Why this approach is different
I’m Cara, creator of In-Tension and Corrective Movement Specialist. After a life-changing BMX crash in my teens left me on bed rest and relying on a walking frame, I spent years battling chronic back pain. That struggle drove me to earn a Master of Health Science, master the fundamental mechanics of how the human body restores balance, and spend the last decade helping clients solve their own “tricky” pain cases.

I built this Sweet Release programme to give you a clear, self-paced framework that addresses the root causes of tension – helping you free restricted joints, rebalance muscle loading, and learn how to keep your own body moving comfortably for life.

How do "online" programmes work and how can I use them?
These are digital courses (no 1:1 or face-to-face consulting needed). You simply follow the guided videos at your own pace, from the comfort of your own home (or wherever you like!).

Each programme will guide you through a series of individual exercises (as well as educate you along the way) and you will quickly learn what your body needs the most. Through this, you are building your own bullet-proof personalised toolkit that you can use for life.

Decide on the programme for you. Purchase, and then follow the email prompts to get to your member login on the IN-TENSION website.

You can access your programmes here at any time, and you will also have a PDF that you can print out or save to your phone/computer.
Who can benefit from the IN-TENSION programmes?
My programmes are suitable for anyone looking to reduce pain, improve mobility, optimise their posture, and feel their best. Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, stiffness, or simply want to improve your posture and overall body mechanics.

They are highly accessible. Not every exercise within each programme will suit every body – that’s natural, because we’re all different. That’s exactly why I include a variety of intensities, progressions, and alternative options. I am confident that what YOU need, is in there.
Who created the IN-TENSION programmes?
Each programme is designed by me, Cara – a Corrective Movement Specialist (and Accredited Exercise Phyisologist). I’ve lived with chronic pain and movement challenges, so I truly understand what it’s like. My programmes are built on evidence-based principles and years of hands-on work with clients, designed to give you practical, effective tools to reduce pain and move confidently. You’re in capable, caring hands.
Can I use the programmes if I have a chronic condition?
Yes! My programmes are designed to be gentle, versatile, and effective, making them suitable for people with chronic pain or conditions that affect movement. However, I always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before beginning any new exercise routine, especially if you have a medical condition.
Do I need any special equipment to follow the programmes?
No special equipment is required within my IN-TENSION programmes. You’ll be guided through exercises that use your body weight or simple household items. I sometimes will include specialty tools such as a foam roller, however I also recommend easy-to-find alternatives.
Can I get personalised advice through the programme?
My online programmes are fully self-guided, so they do not include personalised advice. However, I do offer personalised consultations for those seeking tailored advice. I can work with you to create an individualised plan that addresses your specific needs and challenges. Personalised support can be organised via my book/contact page or you can email me at cara@intension.co.nz
